Thermal weed control offers an effective alternative to chemical weedkillers for tackling unwanted weeds around the house.
The Thermoflamm range comprises five different weed burners and conveniently and effectively removes unwanted weeds around the house. The devices are versatile, particularly in hard-to-reach areas such as external staircases or the corners of patios.
The Thermoflamm Classic and Comfort models are fitted with an automatic ignition mechanism, ensuring safe handling. The gas-powered models are complemented by the Thermoflamm Professional, which is the ideal choice for large areas and commercial use.
Instead of a gas flame, the Thermoflamm Electro eliminates weeds using a heat jet reaching temperatures of up to 650°C. The device operates efficiently on a 2,000-watt electric power supply. A conical nozzle shields the heat jet from escaping outwards and concentrates the hot air entirely on the weeds. This saves time and energy when destroying weeds or removing moss.
The Thermoflamm Fix is equipped with a heating coil reaching temperatures of up to 800°C – rapid progress is guaranteed thanks to the 150 cm² radiation surface and direct contact with the plant.
How Thermoflamm appliances work
Thermoflamm devices work without chemicals and are extremely effective. How does it work?
1 During use, the flame and electric rods are slowly moved over the weeds at a distance of approximately 3 cm.
2 The heat emitted penetrates deep into the root system, causing the cell sap in the plant cells to coagulate.
3 This expansion causes the cell walls to burst. This not only provides a short-term effect but also ensures the permanent removal of the weeds. Consequently, even stubborn plants can be treated effectively.
Immediately after treatment, the plant may still look undamaged, but it will wither away on its own within a few days.
A practical added benefit – Thermoflamm devices are also ideal for lighting firewood or barbecue coals.
