Gas or electricity – the choice is yours
Every garden and every area has its own specific requirements. Whilst petrol-powered machines offer maximum flexibility and performance, electric models stand out for their ease of use and emission-free operation.
Gas-powered devices
The Thermoflamm Classic and Comfort models are powered by gas cartridges. The flame wands are fitted with an automatic ignition mechanism, ensuring safe handling. The Thermoflamm Professional is connected to a pressurised gas cylinder and is therefore the ideal choice for working on large areas.
With Extra Power
The Thermoflamm Professional E+ Turbo offers an even more convenient option amongst professional torches. The torch is conveniently started via an electric ignition switch on the handle. In addition, the optimised burner nozzle ensures a higher flame temperature of up to 1,200°C whilst maintaining the same gas consumption.
Electric devices
The Thermoflamm Electro eliminates weeds using a jet of heat reaching up to 650°C, rather than a gas flame. The conical nozzle shields the heat from escaping outwards and concentrates the hot air entirely on the weeds.
The Thermoflamm Fix is the turbo version for weed control and operates with a heating coil reaching temperatures of up to 800°C – thanks to its 150 cm² radiation surface and direct contact with the plant, it guarantees up to four times faster progress than with conventional gas or electric devices.
Thermoflamm devices are practical and work extremely effectively. How do they work?
- 1. During use, the flame and electric rods are slowly moved over the weeds at a distance of approximately 3 cm.
- 2. The heat emitted penetrates deep into the root system, causing the cell sap in the plant cells to coagulate.
- 3. This expansion causes the cell walls to burst. This not only provides a short-term effect but also ensures the permanent removal of the weeds. As a result, even stubborn plants can be treated effectively.
Immediately after treatment, the plant may still appear undamaged, but it will wither away of its own accord within a few days.
A practical added benefit – Thermoflamm devices are also ideal for lighting firewood or barbecue coals.
