GLORIA is a member of the newly founded POWER FOR ALL ALLIANCE. From now on all GLORIA battery-powered devices are equipped with BOSCH rechargeable battery technology. This means that all BOSCH 18V POWER FOR ALL battery variants from 1.5 to 6.0 Ah can supply the MultiBrush li-on, WeedBrush li-on, MultiJet 18V and the Battery compressor with the necessary power.
Bosch Power Tools sets a milestone by opening its 18 Volt battery platform of the "Home & Garden" division to other manufacturers: an alliance of leading brands such as Gardena, Wagner, Steinel, Flymo and Rapid, as well as Bosch power tools, gardening tools and household appliances, which use a cross-manufacturer battery system for their products. The basis of this alliance is Bosch's rechargeable battery technology.
"We are opening up our system to other manufacturers and offering users more flexibility than ever before through a uniform standard. In the future, they will be able to use one and the same 18-volt battery to power a wide range of appliances from a variety of brands," says Henk Becker, Chairman of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch Power Tools GmbH.
This will save users money, space and time when purchasing products of the alliance in the future. Stacked, incompatible batteries and chargers of different brands will be a thing of the past. The common goal is to offer users the largest battery system from all manufacturers and thus the broadest range of applications for their homes: Do-it-yourself appliances, gardening and cleaning equipment, household appliances, products for surface coating, for leisure and camping - and much more.
Bosch continues to adhere to its policy of backwards compatibility up to 2007, which is important for users: more than 20 million Bosch batteries for do-it-yourself and gardening tools with 18 volts that are already on the market will remain compatible like the corresponding chargers.
"We are convinced that wireless, flexible working is the future. The POWER FOR ALL ALLIANCE is a win-win situation for everyone. It allows us to concentrate on our core competencies in the future. The development of high-quality and innovative gardening tools," confirms Markus Kress, Managing Director and owner of GLORIA.
GLORIA currently offers its customers three battery-powered products, and this number will increase significantly in the coming gardening season.
